I wish everyone would just tell it like it is and stop worrying about everyones feelings!
For instance this Union nonsense. There was a time when unions were needed. The American worker needed protection from work place safety to fair wages.
But at a time when people in the private sector/clerical/middle management range, are not getting raises or getting minimal raises like an insulting 2%, furloughed, TOLD not asked, to pay more towards pensions and health insurance, it is difficult to feel sympathy for those unions workers who have not just caught up but have now surpassed us in salaries and benefits and are asking for more! And on the backs of who? Your neighbors who are losing their homes to sky rocketing property taxes!
Union members please read the news papers “we haven’t got any more to give”!!! The struggling middle class who are still lucky enough to have a job are being asked to subsidize everyone else the rich and the poor! Where are our bailouts and bonuses? Everything that you (public Unions) ask for comes from taxes and tax payers not some invisible bank with an endless supply of money. Private sector Unions I ask the same question, when middle America, the spenders, are being squeezed for gas, food, mortgages, taxes and everything else where is your company getting more money to give you what you want when the dollars aren’t rolling in like they used to. Everybody and I mean everybody needs to stop and look at the big picture and not just yourselves. We are all hurting. Prices for everything needs to come down. To all the companies/suppliers out there, make your money from lowering your prices and selling more product. Doesn’t it make sense to sell 100 items at $10 dollars than to have one sit on the shelf for $100? We need to make do with what we have and start living within our means. And this goes for Congress. Let’s start seeing some sacrifices. A pay cut and paying into your health benefits and pensions would be nice to see if we are all in this together. One Nation Under God Indivsibile… hmmm I wonder.
