The Caravan that started in Central American has taken on more migrants, totaling over 7000! My question is…what is the United Nations doing about this? What is the World doing about this? This isn’t just about America taking in immigrants. There is a lack of SOMETHING and it surely is not America’s problem or America’s responsibility to fix!

Read the papers, America already has a homelessness and poverty issue,  without 7000 more people knocking at the door!

If it is money, lack of jobs and opportunities in these countries, then why isn’t the fight fought on their ground – their home???  And this is not just about Central America, it goes for the Middle East , Africa, Island nations,  all have the same issues as well and all eyes turn to the US!  The US is not the World’s Savior with unlimited resources.

As a stressed out tax payer there needs to be a global response to all these places and issues. Those governments need to be held accountable, not let off the hook!!! We middle class citizens just can’t afford it!!!!

I have thrown political correctness out my window!!! There is an army marching from Central America to continue into Mexico with the ultimate destination America!

I have a question for lower, middle and so called upper middle class. Can you afford to shoulder the cost? I am going to repeat this question – can YOU afford the cost?

As I have said in previous posts we US citizens must take care of US citizens first!  There are still too many homeless men, women and children. Senior citizens and Veteran’s who don’t know where their next bed or meal will be.

I ask you… if you lost your job tomorrow who is going to offer you a home or be able to keep the house or apartment you have? How about free medical care for you and your family? Everybody would say wow that is too bad what happened to THEM!  What is the government going to tell you… fill out forms and wait and hope you qualify!!!

You parents who are in debt for your kids college loans or heck your own college loans that you are still paying for! Anybody offering free tuition. I think not!!! You know why? Nothing is FREE!!! It comes from the 45-54 % of Americans who pay taxes and the Local,State and Federal government keeps asking for more!

Talk to residents of NJ, NY and California, bet if they are honest they will shake their heads and whisper I can’t take it anymore. SMH sad!

Immigration is good but when it is controlled and done correctly. Speak to those who took the correct path! They waited, they took the steps, some paid a lawyer to get it done right. They took courses they learned English. They took the citizen test, raised their right hand and became US citizens. Is it fair to those who did it and to those who are in the process, to be stepped over and watch as illegals push their way in? Who abuse the system and take advantage of programs and assistance we all fought so hard to obtain? Look at California, people are literally living in the streets in filth. But the Left/Dems say bring em on! To go where?

Today I read in NJ schools, if a child of any grade comes to school saying they identify as the opposite gender the school must allow them to be called whatever name they choose, must be referred to with the proper pronoun along with use of their choice of bathrooms or locker rooms. What is missing is the school informing the parents!!!

Parents need to know what is going on with their kids!!! Whether it is pregnancy, drug\alcohol abuse, bullying or any other issue,  parents need to know.

BUT…The schools need to not just inform the parents but offer outside counseling so parents can cope with their own feelings about the situation as well as how to communicate with their kids on tough topics.  Fear of retaliation by a parent is not a good enough excuse to exclude them!

The other issue I have is, when or what age does a child know for sure what they truly want to be or is it just a phase? At age 4 to about 9 I prayed to GOD to be boy and get a puppy. Junior high school I was the tomboy’s tomboy. Refusing to wear skirts or dresses and played sports and hung out with the guys. But later in life around college something clicked and I dated had a boyfriend.  And later I embraced my femininity and today I am so glad I did. That is my story but it is a true example of how a person can change. I think kids especially younger kids need to get older before those choices can be solidified. Choices NOT stifled but eased into without such drastic changes that impacts everyone! Wearing unisex clothes is a good beginning. See where is goes after puberty. Kids can change direction like the wind. Trust me I know.

What happened to innocent until proven guilty? What happened to the details? And why now? How can this assault on a person’s character and integrity be tolerated? And no – I do not agree with an FBI investigation or even a Senate inquiry. This situation supposedly happened when they were minors and possibly drunk. Who of us can remember what we did stupid, as minors. Hell, who as adults especially if we were drinking heavily, can remember what we said or did last weekend let alone back when we were kids???

What is not taken into account, are the actions SHE did admit to, but  is conveniently overlooked! And let’s not start with the “no means no” swan song.

It seems SHE placed herself in an environment that COULD  have lead to an incident with ANYONE of those boys. But she can’t remember the important details!

From what has been reported  …she as a 15 year old girl went to an all boys school for a drinking party already puts her in a compromised situation! Did she go alone to this “party? ”Where were her girlfriends? Usually girls run in packs to protect each other! Did her parents know where she was going? At 15 years old, shouldn’t they have known? Also it  sounds like she was dressed for a pool party! And if something DID occur, did she tell her parents, were the police immediately notified that an incident occurred with underage drinking going on?  Evidently not!

I am not saying unwanted touching, assault or rape is acceptable BUT…women especially young women need to take more care in knowing their surroundings and take responsibility for putting themselves in a compromising situation or harms way. When you go into a dorm room, a hotel room what is the first thing you see A BED! Even going to a man’s apartment can give that man the expectation you are “OK” with what may happen. Stop and think!

I think everyone should stop pointing the finger only at Pres. Trump concerning the situation in Puerto Rico (PR).

It is absolutely true the Federal Government has not assisted PR but has actually added to the problems. But not from this administration.

Case in point in 1920 the Jones Act affecting shipping regulations that negatively impacted PR, was passed under the presidency of Woodrow Wilson (D). For years this law had made it expensive for PR to get much needed goods. Repealed By Pres. Trump.

1984 the infamous Strom Thurmond (D) during US bankruptcy law review wrote in an amendment barring PR from being able to declare Chpt 9.

1976 – Under Pres Jimmy Carter (D) Tax breaks gave a loophole to US manufacturers to avoid paying significant income taxes to PR if they moved operations to PR.  Large corportions ran to PR and grew PR economy based on the employment opportunities but was not adding to income tax revenue.

1996 – Under Pres Bill Clinton (D) Congress the tax breaks were repealed and the companies fled the country and left PR’s economy in a tail spin. There were no established large owner operated businesses – no money for start ups – people left the island in droves to follow the money.  Due to the influx of the industrial revolution PR put their once flourishing agricultural sector on the back burner. This left PR having to import nearly 85% of its produce. People, especially younger working adults  had left and continued over the years to leave PR for eduction and work. The job prospects that are left are low paying – or “pay under the table” jobs and a large portion of the  population is older and on some type of assistance with virtually no backing by the US gov.

Debt is in the area of $70 Billion with another $44 Billion in pension payments.

PR has only one non-voting congressman in the House and PR citizens can not vote in presidential elections.  So the citizens are basically represented and not heard. Puerto Rican’s did vote to become a State however Congress (R) has yet to address (not even Dems) that issue let alone vote on it.

Now that the history lessen is over… I have an observation. When hurricane Irma was bearing down on the Florida – daily I heard the Governor and local officials begging and then mandating people leave and take shelter especially the Keyes! They were warned once the storm hit the devastation may be massive and “we won’t be able to get to you”. Today with hurricane Florence bearing down on NC I hear the warnings and watch the evacuations.

Puerto Rico like any other island was and always can be in the path of a major hurricane. So where is their OEM or their emergency plan? I did not hear once the mayor or governor (so outspoken now) warn everyone of the pending storm. I did not see the mandatory evacuation of the outlying citizens. Why weren’t they transported to higher ground or the cities where hotels could have provided food and shelter? Why (when PR was prosperous) was the power grid not brought up to current standards. If technology was required along with money and the people to make it happen where was the request? I am sure Con Ed or PSEG along with other power companies across the continental US could have sent teams to teach and or make the upgrades. They did it after the storm! Where were the citizens of PR who left knowing the conditions they left behind and of the family & friends ultimately in harms way?  Why weren’t the people who got on TV making a big show of what they were doing AFTER the storm trying to assist and gather help and assistance YEARS BEFORE a disaster!! In the days after the storm I did not see the Gov or the Mayor in trouble they looked well dressed and well fed.

In short see how may storms, floods, tornados and fires the continental US has had to deal just in 2017! Which is why Pres Trump made his statements of success. For PR once ships could get in and planes could land and trucks with people to operate them could move the help got under way. Any assistance is a blessing!  Just ask the people who are still trying to get over Katrina and Sandy!  Stop putting the blame on one person or administration. It is the job of the governors and mayors and local police/fire departments to know their areas and effectively respond and have a plan and give direction before this type of situation occurs.  This is where Puerto Rico failed.

It is also up to the Governor of PR and Congress  along with the President to right the wrongs of the past and prepare for a brighter future for Puerto Rico!

17 years ago Americans flew the Flag of the USA on our lawns, our cars our buildings with pride to show the world we are one Nation and we will not succumb to terrorism in any form and we will fight all comers!

17 years ago we as a Nation began to put into place departments,  systems and checks and balances to stop the possibility of those who wish to harm us, get in to our great country and for those who are here be able to carry out their devious plans! That includes depts like ICE & TSA and driver’s license identity checks similar to the 6 points required in NJ.

17 years later,  some people seem to have conveniently forgotten the pain and anguish of 9/11 and want to dissolve those very same departments, systems and checks & balances that have kept us safe!

What is wrong with your memory? Giving licenses to people you don’t know is dangerous! Opening borders and letting anyone in without proper vetting is dangerous! Not monitoring and using Intelligence information to keep track of possible gang members or extremists is dangerous!

Please stop this ridiculous rhetoric being spewed daily. Get back to being Americans for Americans for Americas’s sake!

Meddling – The Fake News makes it sound like some clandestine James Bond thriller. By definition it is intrusive unwanted interference. What is that? Well since it has not been proven actual election tallies were tampered with or someone took our names and voted in our place, then we are left with common ideology or view point tampering!  So we can find that on any level of the political spectrum. Digging up past mistakes or issues against a rival and displaying that on an aired advertisement, isn’t that trying to change an ideology or view point or VOTE!!! “I Approve This Message”.

Meddling has been done for years by everyone and the US is no exception.  Do your homework..

You mean China, Japan or any other country has NEVER infiltrated our schools (colleges) various associations, our media, especially social media, as an American citizen (your neighbor) to sway our opinions, raise doubts and even start a fight among ourselves? Cyber attacks is now a way of life but only successful if you allow it to shape your mindset. Who pays for all those rallies and signs?

Do your homework, make your own decisions based on your experiences and knowledge, not based on someone else’s or a robo message.

However whoever it was or is – it is working! I have NEVER seen this country so divided and at war within itself.

The Media has a responsibility to bring us together not further the divide, to bring sense to the confusion, share the ideas from all sides to solve problems and above all be fair and unbiased.

All the Fake News is doing is airing our dirty laundry and making our government look stupid, childlish, unprofessional and highly hypocritical.

I don’t understand. Almost weekly we hear of a shooting in a school or a child that committed suicide and the underlying cause seems to come down to bullying. Then everyone gets on the soap box to demonize bullying whether it be person to person or via social media. Oh you holyer than thou hypocrites!

All I have seen since Trump has become President is bullying at its worse level. Bullying that has grown into harassment and threats of violence to Trump, to his family and anyone in his camp.  It seems that on one one hand people call for fair play, everyone wins and gets a trophy or  lose with dignity….until it comes to Trump!

When does the harassment and threats stop or leads to legal punishment! Especially when it refers specifically to a child.

Practice what you preach Sore Loser Left Trump haters.

To All politicians whether you be Democrat or Republican your guy lost get over it! Now is the time to SHOW your children – SHOW your Constituents SHOW all of  America that you can be respectful and you can put theses petty differences aside become a single unit and work WITH Trump for the people of the United States!

Ok America the righteous Democratic Left is at it again. The Trump-Russian collusion fell apart. Now the Biased Deep State is being exposed!! But what are you hearing? The cries of children calling for their mothers. Hmmm….I guess they learned English over night. Hmmm….I guess they would be crying for their mothers, because they were separated at their home wherever home was and sent either alone or with strangers! Yes they are lonely and scared. But they were sacrificed long before they got here!

Point two the past administrations did the same thing. Don’t be fooled or miss lead. Do a little research. Read for yourself!

Point three ask a US child whose parent was incarcerated, if anyone cared that they cried for their parent. Did anyone make sure that they got a good meal, clothes, medical attention and a place to rest. I saw kids with brand new sneakers and clothes playing video games. Ask any kid living in an inner city slum or a trailer park or a kid in a single parent household or worse homeless where food is scarce and comforts are few and far between. Who is  reaching out for them??? Where is the bleeding heart Left then and now for US kids?

Point four it is us….The US tax payer footing this bill. But we still have a homeless problem in NY and California and other States and cities across America. But the Left want more coming in? For a vote! And I have said it before and I will keep on saying it….take care of home first! There has to be a point of saturation when we just can’t take in any more people until we take care of the struggling veterans, seniors , families in poverty and homeless. That is not heartless that is just the hard cold facts.

To the United Nations….help countries fix themselves so people can flourish and succeed in their own  countries, where most if you asked them, would prefer to stay!

Kanye had a point… if you look back in history Some Blacks even after being emancipated, wanted to stay at the Master’s plantation. Why the choice to be comfortable rather than take a risk in the unknown future and an excuse not to fail.  Similar to the Israelites wanting to run back to Egypt hmmm but that is another topic for another time.

Fast foward to the 1960’s, Blacks won basically everything they asked for, but many more wanted to fall back on their failures due to slavery. Again a choice to remain in a slave mentally  rather than to take responsibility for either fixing their situation or demanding concrete solutions.

The 80’s 90’s and even today gangs, angry rap and an enabling Left have kept some of Black America struggling to Escape the new “slavery”  of politics. Your so-called leaders will keep that dialogue going to keep you in the dark ( no pun intended) and believing the myths of the party system. You know Democrats are for the working man and Blacks. Black America has clung onto that concept since JFK!  But to what end? And Republicans were for the elite, wealthy and White.  But look today how many Blacks have turned to the Republican base. As Trump stated during his run for office “ what do you have to lose?” It seems we as a Nation have gained more in the few months Trump has been in office. Bringing back industry and jobs is what will bring back our inner cities. Did the Dems do that?

In short you need to be educated on the facts, READ! Watch ALL news broadcasts and fact check. Look at your OWN situation and come to YOUR OWN conclusions. Don’t be a SLAVE to past practices and beliefs.
