Americans First?

Americans that are demonstrating and causing havoc over refugees and immigration I have a question for you… why? What is wrong with you!
Look around or better yet look at some statistics:
NYC has approximately 60 thousand people homeless and that is not counting those that refuse to go to shelters. This is just one city!
In the US It is estimated that 1 out of 30 kids or 2.5 million kids will be homeless. The term is “Street Children” which is mostly made up of caucasian females.
Homeless can be the result of so many factors – lack of economic opportunity (jobs) – natural disasters – Veterans – Loss of job – illness and the list goes on.
Read the newspapers how many families had homes destroyed by fire, flood, hurricane, tornadoes in 2016 alone. Not to mention those families that are still displaced from Katrina (yes) and Sandy! What do these American citizens get told? Here fill out these forms and wait. Oh we are behind in addressing your submissions wait. Oh your benefits ran out wait. We’re sorry you don’t qualify wait. Look throughout this Great United States of American where people live in poverty where adults and children go hungry daily!
But you want more people to come in and get HANDED homes food clothing
a job off of tax payer dollars!
Ahead of deserving Americans! Fix HOME FIRST!
Want to help others? Let the UN and other groups raise money to build shelters and supply needs in their country where most of them want to stay!
Fix HOME FIRST – PUT AMERICA FIRST and then and only then can we begin to reach out and help others! GOD BLESS AMERICA!

AMERICA COME TOGETHER!

Americans PLEASE!!! Come together! Support our new President. THINK! He did not put himself in office CITIZENS voted him in!!!

I am sure that there were groups who did not vote for and did not want to see a black man become president of the United States (as racism does still exist) but did those groups cry and complain, insult and demonstrate? NO! They quietly moved on and let it be.

So now because some folks did not get the candidate they wanted they feel it is ok to be disrespectful. Are we not better than that as a nation! Did we learn nothing from our past?

The best we can do is support and hold Mr. Trump’s feet to the fire and make him deliver on his campaign promises! Hell what DO we have to lose? I don’t know about you but I DIDN’T do well from the past presidency!

Oh and speaking of leaders I only remember seeing Jesse Jackson, Ralph Abernathy, Andrew Young with the great MLK!
I am not saying John Lewis wasn’t part of the
movement, but I did not know that name before you decided to become vocal and
abrasive! That is NOT a leader, that is NOT how an educated man acts and that is NOT how a leader moves a nation forward! lead by example! I have one
question Mr Lewis WHAT HAVE YOU DONE LATELY! For 2015 Georgia recorded 606 murders and 2222 rapes – for the Nation I don’t recall you speaking out for jobs in the cities that lost good manufacturing jobs!
That is what lead to increased crime and despair!
Get on board and lead!!!

Feeding the False Narrative

Ok Americans wake up – Stop feeding into the false narrative of Black Lives Matter- All LIVE MATTER or did we somehow conveniently forget that!

Do you mean the young lady Ms. McKenzie – NY
8 people killed during a MLK event in Va – 21 shot in one weekend in Detroit and countless others across the nation struck by stray bullets DON’T MATTER?

Where were the Black Lives Matter protesters? Why aren’t THEY going out into the neighborhoods and consoling the families of victims of stray bullet shootings? Or assisting the residents in taking their neighborhoods back from crime?

Sure there are some questionable police involved shootings and they should be investigated and prosecuted where applicable. But to demonize a whole insitution is ridiculous and dangerous. If you alienate the police, THEY will not PROTECT and SERVE when called by WHO? The residents that need them the most!

During this time of primary and caucus show downs, a lot of promises are being made.   Of course we all want America Great Again! But to what cost to the world?

What Americans fail to realize is that the world is unfortunately connected monetarily and we allowed it! If we remember back to say Farm Aide,  we did not question or stop the demise of our farmers. That was the writing on the wall!

America was made great on the backs of farmers and the workers in the factories making everything from automobiles to the smallest widget.  Once we allowed those two important areas be taken from America and shipped to other countries our failure was inevitable.

While it sounds great to casually say we will take back our manufacturing from China, Japan, Mexico and any other country, will weaken their already shaky economy and possibly result their own crash resulting in a demand for financial help – resulting in America borrowing from some other country to give money (once again) to aide the fallen country. All these countries are in each other pockets for billions. If just one was to call in their loans that would cause a ripple effect that would cripple the world. And that is exactly what a certain group of people would love to see to creat a single world currency.

Our world leaders need to find a way to agree on each country claiming a service or product that they would supply the world. The majority of auto industry and local manufacturing needs to be back in the US. For example imports should be taxed and limited to give the Big Three a fighting chance.

The answer to an individual’s economical success is not to raise the minimum wage for entry level and part time jobs but go back to creating real jobs in the industry and agriculture fields where adults can earn a decent pay from a real job and feed their families and leave the part time and entry level jobs to the youth!

You have to be kidding

It seems that everyone is is on the economic blame game. Americans easily forget the past! When did all this start? Not with President Obama! Not even Bush! Trust me this has been building for years and “we the people” did nothing about it!

Go Back… where were you when Farm Aide was happening? That was a sign that we sold out our farmers!

Did anyone ever read the Trade Act of 1974, read section 201

“It also gave the President broad authority to counteract injurious and unfair foreign trade practices.”

  • “Section 201 of the Act requires the International Trade Commission to investigate petitions filed by domestic industries or workers claiming injury or threat of injury due to expanding imports. Investigations must be completed within 6 months. If such injury is found, restrictive measures may be implemented. Action under Section 201 is allowed under the GATT escape clause, GATT Article XIX. “

Hmm sounds like the auto industry workers of the Big Three United States Auto makers could have used some help from this. How can US auto mfgs GM, Ford & Chrysler fairly compete with foreign car makers that flooded the market with currently 9 Japanese mfg three of those with sub luxury mfg/ models. Each of these companies flooded the US with models and styles in each category.  Add thast to the rest of the various car mfgs and they did not have an ice berg’s chance in hell!  Where was the fair trade act then to limit their exposure. And I do not want to hear they make a more reliable product! Go around the country and you will see plenty of US vehicles still running. Of couse the industry had the throw away cars and we the consumer wanted to upgrade every few years  and we loved and still do, our big sedans and SUVs even if they are gas hogs! Oh and by the way who recently had a huge recall? Find a Datsun that isn’t rotted away! Not many I am sure.

  • The problem is that we let good old blue collar jobs go away either overseas or by way of the computer. Bring those jobs back! People want to work! But most jobs are so computer technical now that the average person even with a general college degree can’t get them. Let the human production lines come back.
  • Another issue is greed. Back theses prices down to a reasonable level.  TV proves you can build a house in seven days for entertainment then you can do it cost effectively for everyone. If you are trying to sell something wouldn’t it be better to lower the price and sell out then to keep the prices high and move no product! People are buying more from the dollar menues, “two for twenty” and “buy one get one free” deals then ever before!  Get the hint!!!
  • And last but not least… when Local, State and Federal government representatives tighten their belts, start taking pay cuts, furlough days, pay for their benefits whiel in office and at retirement,  keep only one position and stop acting like they are in a class by themselves, then they can say they are truly one of us! Until then they are not!

Why Can’t We Do What Is Right?

Hello everyone , it seems that now a days everyone breaks a rule, law or policy at will, with no hesitation. It seems we as, people have lost our sense of right and wrong. We are not criminals but just the same we blatantly break rules everyday. Do you drive and use a cell phone thinking there are no cops around I can get away with it!? Have you run a red light or stop sign? Do you jay walk? With your kids? While driving have you speeded up crossed a solid white or double yellow line purely to beat the car in front of you? Have you driven in the left lane and refused to move into the middle or right lane? I see this every single day!! What are we doing, what are we teaching our children? I hear comments of how our youth has no direction or respect for the rules, but look at us so-called adults! Do we “Lead by Example”” or do we rule using the mentality “don’t do as I do – do as I say do”.  And don’t think the rest of the world doesn’t judge us. Why do you think we have and continue to lose the respect of other nations. We appear lazy, entitled and apathetic. The way we treat each other is a sin! Come on America get on Board! Do the Right Thing. See how good you feel when you play by the rules and maybe just maybe others will follow your lead!

Racial Profiling- New Concept or Old Habits

One major flaw that we Americans have is selective memory loss. Or lack of interest in our history, especially when it is negative.  The situation in Arizona and the rest of the country for that matter is nothing new.

From the plight of the American Indian to the slavery issue. Race has always been at the fore front of American ethics. But when it comes to immigration this is definitely nothing new, history 101 shows us that almost every nationality has faced racial profiling. Example in 1882 The Chinese Exclusion Act was passed by the US Congress to stop immigration  from China due the cheap Chinese labor complaint. The law was later extended by the Geary Act in 1892. The Japanese felt similar pangs, in 1907 when The Gentleman’s Agreement Act was made between America & Japan to stop issuing passports,  and the Immigration Act , also in 1907 allowed the President to forbid immigrants to enter the US if he determined it would be detrimental to the labor force. The Immigration Act of 1924 further banned immigration from Japan. After 1941 Japanese were gathered and arrested In 1942 Japanese were placed in internment camps along the West Coast based on Executive Order 9066. In 1941 Italians lived under strict curfews and some imprisoned. A cartoon poster  displayed “Don’t Speak the Enemy’s Language Speak American, so Italians couldn’t even speak their own language in public!

So now in  we have the Latino immigration explosion with Spanish-speaking illegal immigrants  from several different countries (not just Mexico), plus other illegals lining our streets with day workers and those working under the table. This is hurting the American economy. These people are not paying taxes nor are their employers. At a time when so many American’s are out of work these jobs should be made available to the unemployed!  Illegal immigration is a drain on tax payers when these people get aide and services they don’t pay for! To ask a person for identification is not racial profiling. It is a necessity. It is the same as a police officer stopping a person to see their license and registration! If you have the requested documentation what is the problem?

Last but not least, this country was made on the backs of “immigrants” regardless of where they came from or how they got here! They took the time to fight for and earn citizenship. They learned to speak the language of the United States, ENGLISH!!! Have you ever picked up a phone and heard press 2 for Italian?  Why not? There are over 26 million Italian-Americans which makes them the fifth largest ethnic group in the US!  Point being,  our great grand, grand and in some cases even our parents had to over come adverse situations but they learned the language and got naturalized and paid their way! Speaking Spanish is not an American issue and shouldn’t be used as a crutch. Stop the liberal  BS and either abide by the laws of this country or go back home!

To Tell the Truth

I wish everyone would just tell it like it is and stop worrying about everyones feelings!
For instance this Union nonsense. There was a time when unions were needed. The American worker needed protection from work place safety to fair wages.
But at a time when people in the private sector/clerical/middle management range, are not getting raises or getting minimal raises like an insulting 2%, furloughed, TOLD not asked, to pay more towards pensions and health insurance, it is difficult to feel sympathy for those unions workers who have not just caught up but have now surpassed us in salaries and benefits and are asking for more! And on the backs of who? Your neighbors who are losing their homes to sky rocketing property taxes!
Union members please read the news papers “we haven’t got any more to give”!!! The struggling middle class who are still lucky enough to have a job are being asked to subsidize everyone else the rich and the poor! Where are our bailouts and bonuses? Everything that you (public Unions) ask for comes from taxes and tax payers not some invisible bank with an endless supply of money. Private sector Unions I ask the same question, when middle America, the spenders, are being squeezed for gas, food, mortgages, taxes and everything else where is your company getting more money to give you what you want when the dollars aren’t rolling in like they used to. Everybody and I mean everybody needs to stop and look at the big picture and not just yourselves. We are all hurting. Prices for everything needs to come down. To all the companies/suppliers out there, make your money from lowering your prices and selling more product. Doesn’t it make sense to sell 100 items at $10 dollars than to have one sit on the shelf for $100? We need to make do with what we have and start living within our means. And this goes for Congress. Let’s start seeing some sacrifices. A pay cut and paying into your health benefits and pensions would be nice to see if we are all in this together. One Nation Under God Indivsibile… hmmm I wonder.
